and they were just pulled from the Charles River Lakes District this past weekend.
It won't be long before they are breaching the water's surface; much like some of the lily pads are already.
This year we are working with CRWA to start volunteer hand pulling earlier with the first event scheduled for May 11th 9am - Noon. We'll be working together with local residents who can provide some local support to our fabulous volunteers.
Lst May we confirmed that early pulling is a great deal less labor intensive because the plants are small, so we expect to make some very good progress on the areas that we are able to tackle in the first 3-4 weeks before the weeds mature and spawn multiple rosettes.
